Practical first aid has conducted our Fire Warden training on two occasions. We have had excellent feedback from staff and having attended myself, I would personally recommend James for future training. Great knowledge, and personalised for our business/hazards.

I had firstly done the online training and it was very informative but I have to say that the 'in-person' training the next day was on another level. James really delivered the best training, not only he made it fun with lots of different scenarios but also answered all of our questions with a lot of professionalism.

Fire Risk Assessment

Did you know that it’s a legal obligation for employers and landlords to provide a fire safety risk assessment, and to ensure it is up to date?
To comply with legal duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, we regularly undertake fire risk assessments in a wide variety of fields.

Your fire risk assessment which will include a summary of our findings and observations, and where necessary an action plan containing recommendations we advise that you take to comply with your statutory duties and best practice.

Fire Door Inspection

In a recent survey by the Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS), 61% of doors inspected had intumescent or smoke seals either missing or faulty, whilst 34% had excessive gaps between the door and the frame. Both faults could prove fatal in the event of fire.

BS 8214: 2008 recommends that door leaves and frames are checked at six-monthly intervals for superficial damage, structural damage and excessive bowing or deformation.
